Glen Eira BUG, Saturday afternoon 29 July
Starting at Grainger Café 49A Grange Rd, Caulfield East 1.30pm – or for a coffee and something to eat earlier from 12.30
2 hours 15kms mostly flat and on trails and quiet streets with time to admire and discuss trees and bicycle routes
An easy ride of Glen Eira‘s oldest and most significant indigenous and habitat trees (some 390yo+) including along the Djerring Trail, Malvern Urban Forest for inspiration and past Murrumbeena and Carnegie gardens to Packer Park and Lord Reserve, via back streets.
It’s fantastic that there are now 200 trees protected in Glen Eira‘s tree register. The Council website has a map of the trees so you can plan a walk or ride to see some of them. pls RSVP Catherine 0412 119 807
