From Cafe Acustico, the plan is to follow a combination of bike paths and quiet roads to the Yarra trail near Ivanhoe golf course. We will then follow the Yarra trail out to the Templestowe Hill Climb, an optional challenge. Lunch will be at Beasley’s nursery which is quite close by.
After that I would like to follow the Mullum Mullum creek trail to Ringwood (there is a section of it that is relatively newly completed) where we will conclude, and people can catch a train back to the city.
It is about 50 km, fairly flat (despite the title), mostly on gravel bike paths. Travelling at moderate speeds, about 20 kph, with regular stops to regroup. Slower riders will not be left behind.
